Iga Oliwiak (Wooga Games) talks about her experience in choosing analogue or digital approaches in Visual Arts and the movie Loving Vincentshe helped animate by hand in Vincent van Gogh’s painting style – now out in the cinemas.
Carlo Piu (Scuola Internazionale di Comics - Padova) and Julian Dieckert (Drink and Draw Berlin) are leading life drawing sessions.
Valerio Rizzo (realities.io) will give an insight why AI and the evolution of tech may change the artistic approach in creating virtual worlds.
Our aim is to expose the human side of visual art in contrast to the beauty of calculation, brute force and algorithmic creativity. We want to expose the social side of artists and their human eye and hand, their skills in life drawing, which means they can be fuzzy and “imprecise” in contrast to the perfect copy/paste of machines. With that approach we wish to catch the human touch in production of illustrations, games, in telling stories and creating visuals.
