EVENT: Diffraktion #8

After the success of the international symposium on current development in analogue film culture: ​“Film in the present tense”​; LaborBerlin e.V. is proud to present the ​eighth​ edition of DIFFRAKTION, the annual showcase highlighting new works by LaborBerlin members.

This year, the program emphasizes the boundary-breaking output of LaborBerlin members by showcasing film installations and live cinema performances alongside a screening of films. Works will be projected on diverse formats such as super 8, 16mm, slide film and digital.

LaborBerlin e.V is a nonprofit, independent film collective, open to all individuals interested in analogue film. DIFFRAKTION opens up the lab to the wider public interested in preserving the artistic use of analogue film and supporting collective initiatives in a non-hierarchical and non-commercial manner.

Nach dem Erfolg des internationalen Symposiums über die aktuelle Situation der analogen Filmkultur „Film in the Present Tense“ ist LaborBerlin e.V.  stolz die achte Edition DIFFRAKTION zu präsentieren. Am Samstag, 10. Februar 2018, werden neue Werke (inklusive Premieren!) der LaborBerlin Mitglieder gezeigt.

In diesem Jahr werden grenzüberschreitende Produktionen als Filminstallationen, live Cinema Performances und Filmvorführungen mit der Moderation von Sylvia Schedelbauer (ehemaliges Labormitglied) und Kris Wood (Co-Programmierer bei Wolf Kino) hervorgehoben. Die Werke werden unter diversen Formaten projiziert, wie super 8, 16mm, Diafilm und digital.
