No(t yet) songs is a collection of melodies, harmonies and rhythms that accompany the pianist Marco Wedel for many, many years. As partners, whose body is sound, they naively dance, promenade or mediate on the fine line of melancholy. Often they fall. Sometimes they fly.
Tonight is about these melodies, harmonies and rhythms. It’s no songs, not yet. It’s improvisational dialogue. It’s an essay on piano. Flying intended, falling anticipated. It’s for friends with friendly ears, their allies and all confidants.
